Forgot Password Summary: User cannot remember their password. Prerequisites: Microsoft Authenticator already configured on users cellphone for multi-factor authentication. New passwords must be at least 10 characters, cannot contain your name, common words, or have been used before. Passwords should be unique and not reused with other accounts. Steps: Open a web browser and go to https://aka.ms/sspr Follow the steps to Get back into your account. Once at the Who are you? screen, enter your email address or username in the first field. Then enter the characters in the picture in the second field and click Next. Next at the Why are you having trouble signing in? screen, select ‘I forgot my password’ and click Next. Next at the Verification Step 1 > unlock your account screen, select Approve a notification on my authenticator app and click the Send Notification button. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your cellphone and enter the code displayed on the screen. Next at the Verification Step 1 > choose a new password screen, enter your new password in the first field and then confirm the password you entered in the second field and click Finish. Your password should now be reset and updated.
